Aurora made an attempt to replicate the iconic "Batmobile 1966" designed by George Barris. Or maybe it was designed by Ford and modified by Barris. The studio approached Barris and gave him a very limited time to produce a Batmobile for their new TV show. He took a Lincoln Futura concept car, which was never available as a production model, and turned it into one of the most recognizable cars from any TV show EVER. I love this car. I own a re-pop of the Aurora Batmobile which is in a stack of unbuilt kits. It is 1/32 and I really don't like building cars in that scale. I have a lot of Batmobiles, from 1/64 to the big Hot Wheels Batmobile at 1/18. For the 1966 on my shelf, I actually have the Polar Lights 1/25 scale Batmobile first issued just a few years ago. It captures the car for me and takes me back to being a kid again, wondering how Batman and Robin are going to get out of the newest diabolical trap devised by their rogue's gallery of villains. And isn't that what memorabilia is supposed to do after all?

Johnny West Adventures Chief Cherokee
The Chief also received the JWA re-colored body and accessories. The Chief's body was changed to a light caramel cream, his soft vinyl accessories became red, but the big change was he had a painted headdress and shield. The hard plastic accessories remained brown.
This was actually the first Chief Cherokee I bought. I had him on the shelf for a couple years before I bought an original color.
A departure from in the box thinking. I have the Marx stuff, but I saw a headdress painted a lot like this one on the internet several years back. I painted this one, which I like better, so it is the one he wears on the shelf. I don't know who painted the one I saw, because that info was lost to a computer that hard crashed several years back. If you painted the one I copied, let me know and I will give you credit. If I recall correctly, your paint job may have been better than my effort :) I know the Ermine Tails are at an odd angle, but I have always had extreme difficulty even getting the things to stay in the the little holes on the headdress that I consider it a minor miracle they are on there at all.
