The Batplane. This is going to be one of those willing suspension of disbelief moments. I am reasonable sure all this scalloping would prevent a plane from being as aerodynamic as the plane in the comics appeared to be, and I am pretty sure the one from the 40's and 50's with the giant bat face on the front (see the 1950's Batmobile) and no visible means of propulsion would never get off the ground. All of that being said, we still love the Batplane, even when it is called the Batwing or just The Bat. Aurora jumped from the TV show to the comics go give us the Batplane in 1967. The wings on these kits droop over time. Someone makes a replacement set, but I haven't ordered them yet.

The body on this figure was issued in Royal Blue. His accessories are supposed to be blue soft vinyl (still had yellow gloves and neckerchief) and silver hard plastic. This is pretty much ok until you get to the bedroll. Many have been found to still have black accessories still in the plastic bags in their JWA boxes.
My figure is royal blue. Yes, his gear is yellow and black and silver. I bought him from the original owner who says he came that way. He wasn't a collector, he just had some stuff from when he was a kid. He did not have a complete collection and he identified Chief Cherokee as Sitting Bull and called his Same Cobra Black Bart. I decided to take him at his word for the figure coming with what he said they came with. He had a Custer, and it had a complete set of black cavalry equipment, so I assume this gear did not come from that figure.
