Lost in Space 1968 & Johnny West Custom Ladies

This might seem a bit odd, but the second Lost in Space kit is an expansion of the first LIS kit.  Aurora either took the first kit and added a second piece of base, some rocks and the Chariot, or they made this one, took some pieces away and made a smaller kit.  Either way, they released two kits, one for 98 cents in the traditional long box and the other for 1.49 in their larger size box.  I really only painted and assembled the small kit.  This one I went a little crazier on.  I didn't want two kits on my self which looked alike, so I modified the figures to look like their first season costumes, only in color, added a Chariot resin kit I picked up somewhere (maybe Lunar Models?) and then put John wearing the jet pack.

Sarah Devlin

Sarah came from me painting Jane into a brunette and then trying to figure out what to do with the head.  First thing I did was put it back on the body, which I think was a good move.  I had a two gun rig and some more paint and voila!

Sue Running Bear

Sue is not even what I would really call custom yet.  I bought a Princess Wildflower with no lower arms to get some of those opposite color accessories I was talking about on the Wildflower entry.  Put the head on a Jane body.  There are a couple of accessories on her.  Not really sure what I am going to do this figure.  Yet.

Honey West

I saw a custom on ebay by a guy who goes by inky-fizy on the site.  He melded a Glenda head with a Jane body and it looked awesome!  I bid on it, but didn't win it.  Obviously was not the only person who thought it looked awesome.  I asked him how he did it, he told me, and I bought one of those swapable Barbie heads and BAM!.  I have a custom a lot like his only I think his might have looked a bit better.  Edith named this one Honey West.  When she speaks I listen cause I have learned she knows best in the more than 3 decades we have been married.  I don't think this figure is any relation to the Anne Francis spy, Edith says the name is because she reminds her of a character from a Trixie Belden book.
